This year the Oxford Mission celebrates its 125th birthday. The mission has moved from being one supported, both in terms of people and finance, from Britain, to being much more locally oriented. The link with the UK remains important but links to other parts of the world have been growing steadily. The work of the Mission remains an important element within the local communities it serves, and it is good to see that it is now back on an expansionary phase, particularly with new members of the communities in Bangladesh, and further expansion with the possibility of the opening of a new centre for the Christa Sevika Sangha being actively investigated.
